Over 30 civically-engaged Oklahoma City businesses of all sizes and industries have already committed to hiring our students, who will serve as reliable, productive and cost-effective employees.

Their commitment makes our school financially viable and enables us to provide students in families with limited means an academically rigorous college-prep education.

A full time position employs four students.  Each student has an assigned day on which he or she works and the student team rotates to work one Friday each month.  Student schedules are created so that students never miss a class.

Class Schedule

Companies that take on a full-time position employ a team of four students, each of which works one assigned day per week, plus one Friday each month.  Student schedules are adjusted so that students never miss a class. In addition, Cristo Rey Oklahoma City transports students to and from their workplaces.

The chart below shows the work schedule, for a month, for each student member of a team working at one of our corporate partners.  For example, student A works every Monday and the first Friday a month.  A second student, student B, is assigned every Tuesday and the second Friday of each month.

Over 30 of Oklahoma City’s largest, most visible and most civically-engaged businesses have already agreed to become Corporate Work-Study Partners.

Laying the foundation

Cristo Rey students are hardworking, disciplined young men and women who understand the value of the opportunity our Corporate Work-Study partners provide them with. Our participating companies know they will get good work, while helping to lay the foundation for the next generation of qualified, well-educated workers.

Every Corporate Work-Study Partner is also helping to change a life, by sponsoring a first-rate education that would not be possible without their assistance.

Preparation for the workplace

All Cristo Rey students participate in an intensive “Summer Success Training” program to prepare them for the workplace. Our students join the offices of our Work-Study Partners with the technical, professional and “soft” skills they need to succeed in a corporate environment.
